Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can multitask effectively and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
Answer visitors’ questions, calls, and emails, and provide them with the relevant information.
Maintain visitor, employee, and department directories and logs
Support telephone system operation. Answer, screen and forward telephone calls; record and relay message information accurately.
Responsible for monitoring the Township’s general email box.
Coordinates Meals on Wheels
Coordinate reservations for use of the Township’s Park/pavilions.
Assists other Department processes as required
Responsible for the processing of tender packages as requested, acceptance of tenders and keeping an accurate record of tender information
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience
Knowledge and skill in modern business communication, including style and format of letters, spreadsheets, memoranda, minutes and reports.
Knowledge and skill in modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office equipment and record keeping, filing, archiving and protection of documents and data.
Acknowledges individuals’ requests and handles them in a friendly and courteous manner.
Promotes a positive team environment through active cooperation with others.
Maintains awareness of the Township’s policies and procedures. Follows the chain of command.
Shows initiative and works with minimal supervision.
When appropriate, incorporates progressive ideas/concepts into daily responsibilities.
Responds appropriately to supervision and direction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.40 - $19.41 per hour
