Job Description: We install, service, and maintenance all types of Loading Dock equipment! Ideal candidate will install and repair dock levelers, truck restraints, dock seals, shelters, and more! The candidate will be driving the crane truck to the jobsite. On a typical day, Installers/techs may install a levler and or shelter; or provide service calls to replace broken springs, damaged parts, worn out bumpers, or provide general preventative maintenance to ensure proper equipment operation. Majority of the work is outside, year-round, in a variety of weather conditions, so candidate must be comfortable working in the Ohio elements. Techs will not only provide high quality installation, but also provide dependable maintenance and repairs to our customers.
Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Candidate must also have a valid Driver’s License. Magic Garage Door is a Drug-Free Workplace, so the candidate must be able to pass a drug-screen. Some dock equipment service and installation experience is preferred but Magic Garage Door is willing to train the ideal candidate. The ideal candidate, in additional to conducting him-self /her-self professionally, will also possess some of the following skills:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Must possess a strong safety awareness
- Candidate must be able to lift 75 pounds or more.
- Candidate must be able to weld
- Self-motivated
- Familiar with basic hand and power tools. Candidate must own, or have access, to their own set of tools.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with the occasional overtime and after hours
- Maintain standard parts on service vehicle to ensure timely repairs to our customers.
- Collect payment upon completion for services provided to residential customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Including, but not limited to: installing, repairing and providing preventative maintenance on dock leveler equipment, dock seals/bumpers/pads.
- Filling out paperwork and keeping track of time and materials for each service call
- Problem Solving/Troubleshooting
- Driving service truck to various job-sites daily
- Maintain a clean service truck
