Job Overview:
This position is responsible for efficiently optimizing production planning to meet output goals that guide production activities. This role requires exceptional attention to details, analytical thinking, and strong organizational skills to coordinate production workflows effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer demands and generate work tickets that optimize batch sizes while meeting shipping deadlines
- Create and manage production work tickets through the Vicinity Planner Workbench to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Regularly review bulk inventory to ensure alignment with production requirements for mix and fill work tickets. May require physical cycle counts of inventory.
- Review and post completed production work tickets into Great Plains Dynamic (GP)
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and incorporate materials, inventories, resources and delivery schedules into production plans.
- Support ongoing projects to ensure timely execution and completion.
- Demonstrate a high level of competency for every aspect of the production planning life cycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Impeccable attention to detail to ensure error-free work is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams.
- Must have excellent computer skills including MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and ERP software.
- Ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Must be team-oriented and capable of working effectively in a collaborative environment.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree or higher strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in production scheduling or similar role in manufacturing environment required.
- Chemical Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the production supply chain in a manufacturing setting is required.

Certificates, Licenses and Other Requirements:
- All candidates are required to pass a drug screening and background check and must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States once an offer is established.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- This is an administrative office in a chemical plant environment.
- Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 50lbs.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office / quality lab to access files cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machines, and printers.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
