Front Desk Medical Receptionist/Scheduler

Job Summary:

Magnolia OB/GYN is currently seeking an experienced medical receptionist who is available for full-time employment Monday-Thursday. As a busy and growing OB/GYN practice, we are searching for a receptionist who is professional, reliable, and willing to work as a team player!

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • Greet all patients.
  • Schedule appointments in person and over the phone and triage phone calls to the appropriate department or supervisor.
  • Check in arriving patients, verify they have the correct forms filled out and that all information is up to date if not due to update information.
  • Check out patients, collect any balances, copay, or global payments and then schedule any follow up/future appointments.
  • Work through faxes.
  • Pull patient records from the ER and Referring Physicians.
  • Address patient concerns and questions.
  • Work closely with other departments and providers.
  • Onboarding and training new employees.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

  • Computer knowledge, required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Critical thinking skills, required.
  • Must have a strong understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Exemplary customer service skills, required.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in all situations, required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1 Yr-Medical Terminology Experience (preferred).
  • Compensation determined by relevant experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
