What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Supervisor position at Magnum, LTD?
The Dock Supervisor is responsible for the timely and accurate loading and unloading of semi-trailers while managing freight handlers/dock workers at an assigned Magnum LTL location. Magnum hauls/delivers a variety of freight for our customers and partner carriers. Some examples may include paper products, household chemicals, alcohol, tobacco, and food-grade items.
- Unload freight from incoming semi-trailers at the dock on the receiving side of the warehouse.
- Reload manifest, match product in trucks to specified delivery products and locations
- Inspect freight for damage
- Enter necessary data into the computer
- Reload freight into an appropriate trailer at the loading dock for the driver to deliver utilizing propane-powered and sit-down style forklifts and handloading
- Maintain a clean environment, including removing broken pallets, sweeping inside of trailers, etc.
- Assist with projects and perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to fluently read, speak, and write English to complete the necessary paperwork and communicate with supervisors and co-workers
- The candidate will need computer skills and forklift skills
