Math Specialist

Elementary School Math Specialist (K-5) Long-Term Substitute January – February, 2025 Maimonides School in Brookline, MA, is seeking an experienced long-term substitute teacher to cover a faculty leave of absence from January to February 2025. This position is a full-time role, to deliver Math enrichment and support to students in Grades K- 5. We are willing to consider a part-time schedule for the right candidate. Primary Responsibilities: •Utilize current math curriculum (Tang Math) to assist students and teachers in classroom and also through small group and one-on-one activities. •Oversee two 3rd grade enrichment groups, delivering challenges through Tang Math curriculum and assisting with in-class work. •Develop and provide Math practice materials and in-class enrichment opportunities. •Track ongoing student progress. •Collaborate and communicate with other teachers to address student needs. •Work collaboratively with school leadership, faculty, students and parents to support and enhance learning. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the Elementary School level, preferably with experience in Math Curriculum or specialization.
