Esperanza Cyber Charter School (ECCS) prepares students in grades Kindergarten through 12 to meet the challenges of living creatively and productively in an increasingly technologically sophisticated and interconnected world. ECCS will provide students with an academically rigorous yet flexible online learning program that tailors learning experiences to each child through curriculum choices and virtual and in-person tutoring and counseling. ECCS targets underserved and at-risk students who have not always found success in traditional schools. ECCS places students on a pathway to post-secondary success.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A passion for education and a belief that your zip code does not dictate your destiny
- Ability to reliably commute to building
- Current FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assume personal responsibility for the academic progress of all students..
- Document all lesson plans, assignments, rubrics, and other instructional materials and methods.
- Use consistent school-wide practices and individualized methods to engage students in the classroom.
- Virtual classroom management creates, monitors, and sustains a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards.
- Provide virtual structure in the classroom by developing and reinforcing school-wide rules and expectations.
- Ensure smooth operation of all virtual classroom instructional functions without excuses or exceptions.
- Develop engaging and interactive synchronous and asynchronous lesson plans.
SKILLS:
- Strong conceptual understanding
- Ability to develop and use a variety of assessment data to refine curricula and instructional practice
- Ability to evaluate academic achievement through detailed data analysis of student performance
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and maintain positive, strong virtual classroom culture
- Strong technology skills and an ability to learn new programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working.
- Constant hand, finger, and arm use, and excellent eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to hear clearly and speak intelligibly.
- To occasionally function in activities involving walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing stairs.
- To occasionally stand for extended periods.
- Ability to see and perform visual activities such as closing paperwork, using a computer monitor, reading, and writing.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to come onsite for all required days - 30 days per school year.
