Credit Resolution Specialist
The role of the Credit Resolution Specialist is to preserve the credit union's assets by controlling all types of delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral. Reviews delinquent accounts, determines probable reasons for account status, and contacts members to resolve the delinquencies. Utilizes various techniques, as circumstances indicate, to promptly collect on delinquent account. Ensures that the Credit Union's professional image is maintained.

Utilizes various techniques, as circumstances indicate, to promptly collect on delinquent account. Ensures that the Credit Union's professional image is maintained.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Contacts delinquent accounts by phone, letter, e-mail, text; takes appropriate action to bring current. Remain knowledgeable of Credit Union products and services, especially payment options.
- Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful. Performs Skip Tracing and handles member Credit Disputes.
- Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity. Retrieve and review delinquency reports and performs general ledger balancing.
- Participates at legal proceedings as required.
- Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and solid communication skills are essential elements of the job. Work involves much sensitive/confidential personal contact with others inside and/or outside the Credit Union for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Skills: Must work well in a team environment and have the ability to multi-task, negotiate and possess strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills. Strong computer literacy including a windows environment.
