What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at Mainstay Suites?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Position is for overnight 11pm-7am; 2-3 days per week.
Prepare daily Revenue Report data by auditing tapes/journals to breakdown revenue settlements by type and cashier.
Run audit reports/journals from all computer profit centers and outlets.
Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout their shift.
Input into the PC revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary.
Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
Perform other duties and responsibilities asked by the General Manager and the Front Desk Manager based upon department needs.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position maybe required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Ensure all reports and back-up vouchers are complete and filed properly.
Ensure all necessary copies of documents/back-up and reports of daily work are distributed to the proper person (i.e. A/R, A/P, and Payroll).
Review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System.
Coordinate the front desk closing to facilitate a smooth operation of file maintenance and reset of system totals for next day operations.
