Job Description:
As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing field operations related to auger cast and soil mixing projects. Your role will involve ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction operations for auger cast and soil mixing projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, creating a culture of safety on the job site.
- Direct and coordinate activities of field crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and complies with design specifications.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, coordinating with project management and other stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- Manage equipment, tools, and materials on-site, ensuring proper utilization and maintenance.
- Address and resolve field issues, unforeseen challenges, and conflicts promptly to minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and records of project progress, workforce, and materials.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the field team, project managers, engineers, and clients.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in foundation construction or geotechnical projects.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with auger cast and soil mixing techniques.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
