ABOUT THE JOB:

As the Jewish Life Director, you will play a key role in shaping this vision. This role is essential in ensuring that Jewish values are meaningfully woven into the fabric of everything we do, from cultural events to educational initiatives, making a lasting impact on individuals and families throughout the year.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Design and deliver dynamic experiences that engage diverse audiences in celebrating, learning about, and actively participating in Jewish life.
- Provide continuous education to JCC staff on Jewish values, history, holidays, and traditions to enrich understanding and programming across the organization.
- Set ambitious yet achievable program goals, offering leadership, guidance, and support to staff to ensure successful execution.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with other Jewish agencies and synagogues, promoting Jewish pluralism and community unity.
- Work alongside volunteer task forces and key stakeholders to develop innovative programs that reflect the evolving interests and needs of the community.
- Create, manage, and execute a robust, year-round calendar of Jewish educational and cultural events that inspire and engage participants of all ages.
- Collaborate with all JCC departments, providing expertise to ensure Jewish traditions and culture are seamlessly integrated into all aspects of programming.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree required; clergy designation (Rabbi, Cantor) or a graduate degree in Jewish Education, Judaic Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in social or educational programming and program administration.
- In-depth knowledge of Jewish history, culture, and traditions.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and collaborate across diverse groups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with parents, staff, children, teens, board members, and the broader community.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering programs that engage participants across generations.
- Flexibility with work hours and locations (Boynton Beach or Palm Beach Gardens campuses), including availability for evening and weekend events as required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, customer service skills, and a positive attitude with a passion for helping others succeed.
- Willingness to embrace and contribute to the culture of the Mandel JCC.
- Strong program development skills with a focus on creating impactful, meaningful initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide teams and drive successful program outcomes.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to handle complex initiatives from planning to execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.

- Reliable transportation and the ability to work across JCC locations and off-site as needed.
