ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT

PURPOSE:
This job exists for the purpose of providing support services to the President in fulfilling the mission of the college to educate, equip, and enrich Christian leaders to impact the church and the world for Christ.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain/Organize President’s Calendar and Events- arrange meetings, conference calls, travel arrangements, special events with constituent groups, set appointments, take initiative in setting appointments up by being the first line of communication.
- Support and Organize President’s Communication – daily sorting of mail and emails, help generate letters, help prepare presentations, help prepare personal notes, help edit and send campus communications to faculty/staff/& students concerning meetings and events, process executive office expenses and receipts, birthday and Christmas cards for donors and alumni.
- Support the Activities of the Board of Trustees- help support and facilitate meetings (4x a year), write/compile President’s Report, take/distribute/file minutes, membership records, compliance documents, communicate with chairman regularly, help with agenda, and help maintain Board of Trustees Handbook
- Support Special Events of the College- not limited to but includes Commencement, accreditation visits, Vision 360 Banquet, Woman’s World, Golf Classic, community events, Leadership Breakfast, Alumni Reunions, Conventions, etc. Could possibly include some travel when necessary.
- General- support monthly TEAM Meetings and annual Staff meetings – including meals for those meetings, manage college’s master calendar and website calendar, correspondence, weekly campus communication newsletters, manage on-campus digital signage boards, answering the phone, making arrangements for special occasion recognitions, host for both on and off campus visitors, general correspondence and filing, manage internal room reservations (excluding the HAC), support onboarding and orientation for new employees, and special projects as dictated by the President
- Database Management- keeping up to date on donors and alumni, complete accurate and competent address changes, births deaths, etc., querying information as needed.
- Support the Institutional Advancement Office- in various areas of support as needed for special events/activities: which could include tracking and recording event registrations.
- Committee Appointments- not limited to: Scholarship, Woman’s World, Golf Classic, MCC Now, website.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Committed to the Lordship of Christ and the world mission of His church
- Trustworthiness and high level of confidentiality.
- Possess a servant’s heart
- Good people skills
- Experienced working on computers, including Microsoft, Google and Zoom.
- Strong writing and verbal communications skills
- Good command of the English language, including spelling
- Be organized and think ahead, yet flexible
- Good attention to detail.
- Physical ability to help with some set-up and tear down venues for events and meetings.
- Self-starter and able to work independently.
- Work extra hours when needed
