Currently, ManTech is seeking an experience and passionate, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD . The successful candidate for this position will directly support our customer and technology users by being a central interface between the customer and ManTech. The selected candidate should have good customer service skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with a team providing engineering support and system design to enterprise IT solutions across the system development lifecycle. Activities may include requirements reviews; developing interface control documents; performing integration tests, component testing, and software development lifecycle support.
- Candidates will use Splunk, ServiceNow and SharePoint platforms to manage activities like requirement elicitation, analysis and functional allocation.
- Experience with Nutanix, Cribl or Cisco DNA Center is an absolute plus.
- Conduct systems requirements reviews, develop concepts of operation and interface standards, develop system architectures, and perform technical/non-technical assessment and management as well as end-to-end analysis.
- Provide support in the development of operational views, technical standards view, and system and services views for architectures using applicable implementation standards.
- Provide technical support to teams that development scenarios and an Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, that satisfies operational, support, maintenance, and decommission needs
- Review software and system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete
- Follow formal procedures coordinating system development, testing and integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
- Support Team Engineering lead by capturing interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository
- Provide support to the task lead by assessing risk to the project and determine the probability of occurrence and quantified consequence of failure in accordance with an approved risk management plan
- Provide Systems Engineering support to help ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, and work with the team to provide updates as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment and operations and maintenance
- Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes. Support team lead and system stakeholders, by planning the verification efforts of new and unproven designs early in the development life cycle to ensure compliance with established requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems from an accredited college or university and nine (9) years of experience is required. Seven (7) years of additional end engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Possess an IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M such as Security (preferred) Network , CCNA, CCNP, certification or higher preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to various audiences and to communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in a technical role with an understanding of IT equipment, network, and end user devices.
- Ability to handle complex customer situations and interact with all levels of personnel to provide a quick and effective resolutions
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools, and some experience with network switches (port security and understanding of operations).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
