Description
Responsible for the direction of inpatient care for the Medical Surgical and ICCU departments. Manages staff members within the department. Consults with staff, physicians, and the Vice President of Patient Services on nursing practice and Hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department. Maintains the established budget. Acts as part of the overall management team for MRH. Evaluates the staff of the department(s) and assists to attain the Hospital's objectives established by the governing authority. This position has overall supervisory responsibility for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, techs, receptionist, Health Unit Coordinators and all other Nursing related personnel. Plays an active role in growth and development of Mary Rutan services and service lines.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, baccalaureate degree preferred.

Current State Nursing License in the State of Ohio.

Current BLS certification required.

ACLS within 1 year

Minimum of three years experience in nursing.

Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Additional languages preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent computer knowledge.

Ability to operate office equipment.
