Job Summary
This full-time position, reporting to the Director of Development, is responsible for a variety of fund development projects based in the nonprofit organization’s Cambridge office. We are seeking an organized and energetic professional who is motivated to work with a diverse, multicultural team of dedicated staff that’s passionate about serving the Portuguese-speaking community of Greater Boston, Greater Lowell and MetroWest.
Special Skills:
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Must be creative, detail-oriented, pro-active, deadline conscious, organized, and able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and other MS Office products; familiarity with Adobe products as well as social media and website tools
· Experience preferred with CRM software such as Bloomerang, but willing to train
- Bilingual Portuguese skills helpful but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Researches, writes, submits and follows up on agency funding proposals and reports.
Helps lead planning and implementation of the annual MAPS Awards Gala, the annual Chip in for Charity Golf Tournament, the annual Holiday Appeal and other fundraising activities
Helps develop community sponsorships and build the MAPS donor/membership bases.
Helps supervise and work with volunteers.
Assists in preparing/distributing development-related correspondence and promotional materials.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Fundraising/development experience preferred, preferably in nonprofit health or social services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
