Job Overview: Enter student discipline incidents and updates in student management software. Works with the attendance/truancy office regarding truant students and students with excessive tardies.
Job functions:
- Notify and keep appropriate faculty and the attendance office up to date on the status of students in ISS.
- Performs all clerical duties related to discipline.
- Must be able to handle and react to potential volatile situations and take appropriate action.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality with student and staff information.
- Must be courteous, professional, and respectful when communicating with parents.
- Works with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with others, and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Refer behavior problems to Assistant Principal.
- Other duties as assigned by the school Principal or Assistant Principal.
Job Functions for In-School Suspension Room (if applicable) - Provide supervision for students who are assigned to the In-School Suspension classroom.
- Monitor test, computer work, and provide instructional assistance as appropriate.
- Ensure students have security escorts to facilities outside the ISS classroom.
- Email teachers, in the time frame set by the school, for work requests and complete student work completion logs for all students assigned to the room.
- Facilitate and arrange delivery of student lunches when necessary.
- Review in-school suspension policies, procedures, and student expectations with students daily.
Salary : $21,560 - $24,878
