Communications and Events Coordinator
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Metropolitan Washington (MCAMW ) is a non-profit organization of contractors who build and service plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems in Washington, DC and its Virginia and Maryland suburbs. Our mission is to serve our 200 member contractors by way of labor relations, community outreach and development, legislative advocacy, education, and networking events. We are currently searching for a Communications and Events Coordinator to join our team and manage our monthly membership meetings and events, as well as internal and external communications. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, this position will collaborate with the MCAMW team and membership and lead initiatives that enhance the overall mission of the association.
Specific Duties Include :
- Planning and coordinating monthly membership, committee, and board meetings
- Organization, implementation, and communication of MCAMW events and trainings
- Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process
- Prepare and maintain specific event budgets; track all expenses for events
- Preparing and distributing monthly membership communications, bulletins, and industry updates
- Attend Career Fairs and campus recruitment events
- Content creation for all association website and social media channels
- Coordinate and align objectives with affiliated organizations and partners
- Leads special projects and events as assigned
