Sales Analyst

JOB TITLE: Sales Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Sales Analyst will own the sales forecast process to ensure elevated levels of service are delivered at the lowest possible cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create statistical baseline sales forecast monthly for a 24-month planning horizon.
• Support the monthly consensus sales forecast process by working with sales, marketing, and finance.
• Lead the monthly forecast consensus meeting, supply hand-off meeting and mid-month forecast review discussion.
• Work with all levels and functions within the company to collaborate on the S&OP process.
• Work with top customers and the sales organization directly on demand insights.
• Review and account for external factors impacting consumption (economy, competition, category…)
• Develop and manage the long-term sales forecast over a 5-year horizon periodically.
• Review and apply consumption data into the sales forecast.
• Support the research and implementation of new demand planning tools.
• Support forecast for transportation and warehousing.
• Lead the New Item and Discontinued item coordination process.
• Support department projects by providing data research and quantitative analysis.
• Manage and report on demand planning metrics.
• Work with IT to develop reports and data gathering methods.
• Perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2 years of demand planning experience or more.
• Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem-solving approach.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite ability including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability and passion to learn and master supply chain software.
• Ability to frame opportunities in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, problem solve and meet deadlines.
• General understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics processes.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Degree concentration in Supply Chain or related area.
• Demand Planning software experience.
• Business reporting/data gathering software experience.
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) planning experience.
• Experience building quantitative models in Excel.
• Project management experience and skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an office setting.

Salary-

$55,000-$65,000
