Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician at McFarland Eye Care, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch eye care services to our patients. Your commitment to our core values will be instrumental in ensuring that our patients have a positive and memorable experience at our practice.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient screenings and assessments, including taking patient histories.
  • Assist in various diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Provide patient education on eye care and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate effectively with the ophthalmologist and the rest of the team.
  • Ensure that our core values are upheld in every patient interaction.

 

 

Qualifications


Education:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in ophthalmology practice is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols.
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
