What You’ll Do:
- Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others at all times. Exercise good judgment at all times.
- Scheduled Preventative Maintenance. Regularly inspect parts and equipment at multiple locations (quarries, retail stores, maintenance shops) for signs of wear or damage, replace and/or repair parts and equipment to ensure safe operation of industrial equipment and production.
- Emergency service on equipment. When/if equipment is down, must be able to get machinery up and running without cutting corners.
- Diagnose. Determine the cause(s) of machinery malfunctions and troubleshoot issues by investigating mechanical issues on equipment.
- Install new machinery. Install new machinery, fixtures, and any necessary wiring, plumbing, or related hook-ups for the machinery to become fully operational.
- Maintain Equipment. Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels, report unsafe mechanical conditions.
- Monitor Surroundings. Monitor your surroundings when operating and repairing equipment in and out of the quarries or other job sites. Report any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required to ensure safety.
- Customer Service. Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional, kind, and courteous manner.
- Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills You’ll Need:
- Experience. Previous experience in industrial maintenance is required (3 years).
- Skills/Abilities - Considerable mechanical aptitude, use a variety of hand tools and equipment, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people while working under general supervision.
- Willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Not afraid of heights.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop and lift for up to 10 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
- Strong electrical skills required.
- Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of operating and servicing equipment is preferred.
- Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime (if full-time) and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
- Drug Testing. Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
