Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in determining the projected costs and timelines for various excavation and utility projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors, engineers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, blueprints, and requirement documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Assess the necessary labor, materials, equipment, and time required for each project.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates are comprehensive and aligned with project goals.
- Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates and bid proposals to clients.
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and adjust estimates as project conditions change.
- Maintain detailed records of project estimates, costs, and timelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an estimator in the construction or utilities industry.
- Strong understanding of excavation, utility construction, and related processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Proficient with AgTek software.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
