Job Description:
Meade Engineering (MEI) has a job opportunity for an experienced Construction Administrator to support and oversee key aspects of construction project execution. The role involves active collaboration with MEI staff, contractors, clients, and other external partners on a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, data centers, industrial facilities, and more. This position requires a thorough understanding of construction processes and high standards of documentation, quality assurance, and project compliance. Occasional travel to job sites is expected for inspections and project meetings.
Job Duties:
- Oversee and manage construction activities to ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and company standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to clarify project requirements and resolve issues as they arise.
- Review construction documents, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders, to maintain quality and accuracy throughout project phases.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and records of contractor communication.
- Provide administrative support for project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items. Assist project managers with various administrative tasks as needed to support project goals.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements at all stages of construction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Construction Administration, project management, or a related field within the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, methods, and building codes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office, BlueBeam, and AutoCAD; experience with Revit or BIM software is preferred.
