The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for completing day-to-day activities of the Front Office. Observe and enhance Meadowood’s culture of Service and Forbes Standards in daily operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRODUCT/SERVICE
- Provide gracious hospitality to all guests.
- Resolve 1st and 2nd level guest problems/complaints.
- Assist Reception staff with heavy check-ins, check-outs, room moves and billing questions.
- Ensure that the reception desk is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.
- Ensure that supplies, maps, other resources and inventory are properly stocked.

Education and/or experience: Prior experience at the front desk or other hospitality experience. High school graduate. Valid driver’s license.
Language skills: Fluent in English. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
Mathematical SKILLS: Ability to analyze guest folios.
Reasoning ability: Ability to solve problems and use independent judgment

- Estimate 30 % of time is spent on feet and 70% sitting at desk.
- Have frequent need to perform the following physical activities: bend/stoop/squat and reach above shoulders.
- Lifting/carrying 35 pounds occasionally. No lifting over 35 pounds without assistance
- Vision requirements: constant need to produce complete forms, read reports, view computer screen for long periods of time. Frequent need to see small details. Frequent need to see things clearly beyond arm's reach.
- Hearing requirements: constant need to communicate in person and over the phone.
