Position Overview

The Digital Content Designer is responsible for creating and managing digital content that enhances brand identity and supports marketing strategies. This role involves designing graphics, creating video content, and ensuring that all digital materials are visually compelling, user-friendly, and aligned with the brand's goals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both graphic design and video production, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through visual media.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

• Design and produce digital assets, including website banners, social media graphics, infographics, email templates, and other marketing materials.
• Create and edit video content for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns, including promotional videos, tutorials, and product demos.
• Develop motion graphics and animations to enhance video content and digital presentations.

Brand Consistency:

• Ensure all digital content adheres to the brand's visual identity and guidelines.
• Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to maintain a consistent look and feel across all digital platforms.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, and other designers to develop cohesive content that supports marketing objectives.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and content strategies.

Project Management:

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve content quality and efficiency.
• User Experience (UX) & Design:
• Design user-friendly interfaces and graphics for websites, landing pages, and mobile applications.
• Work with developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly and function as intended.

Analytics & Optimization:

• Analyze the performance of digital content through analytics tools, adjusting designs to improve engagement and effectiveness.
• Optimize digital assets for various platforms, ensuring fast load times and high-quality visuals.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, or a related field.

Required Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in digital content creation, graphic design, or a related role.
• Proven experience in video production and editing.

Preferred Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in digital content creation, graphic design, or a related role.
• Proven experience in video production and editing.
• Experience with animation and motion graphics.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development basics.
• Experience in digital marketing or social media content creation.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design.
• Knowledge of video editing software and techniques.
• Familiarity with web design and UX principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Work Environment:

• This role is a hybrid position that requires occasional on-site project work at our offices located in Reston, Richmond, and Virginia Beach. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside in or near the Virginia Beach area.
