Job Overview:
The Mental Health Technician assists as directed by nursing staff or other professional caregivers by performing supportive and complementary tasks in patient care activities under direct supervision and in conjunction with the other team members. Performs routine department duties. Interacts with patients in a supportive and professional manner. Demonstrates knowledge of developmental needs of patient population specific to the Behavioral Health Services Department.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's degree in psychology or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a health care facility/psychiatric setting preferred
