MEMPHIS HUNT & POLO CLUB is a private city club in Memphis, TN. The Polo Club recently celebrated 100 years. The members enjoy dining, tennis, pickleball, fitness, and swimming. There is a highly regarded, tenured service staff. The culinary team and service staff seek a partner to enhance the member experience. It will be paramount to build relationships with coworkers and the members.
Role Description
The Club serves lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday. In addition to a la carte dining, the Club offers banquets and events to members and their guests. We are seeking a manager to oversee dining operations. The right candidate will be organized, an excellent communicator, and take a hands-on approach. The main objective is to assist the service staff in daily operations as a hands-on floor manager.
This leader should take initiative and responsibility in completing tasks. The position requires time management and attention to detail. We seek someone who can excel in this role as an independent self-starter.
A typical work week will be Wednesday through Sunday, working 45 hours per week, closing the building nightly, typically between 10pm - 11pm.
Operations Management:
· Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants and banquets
· Assist staff by hands on execution of food service to include setup, serving and breakdown
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
· Maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
· Assist with beverage inventory and management including ordering and menus
Staff Management:
· Recruit, train, and partner with F&B staff, including servers, bartenders and chef to serve the membership
Member and Guest Experience:
· Ensure a high level of member and guest satisfaction by addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly
· Develop and implement service standards and procedures
· Organize and manage special events and functions, including weddings, parties, and club events
· Be present for members and staff
Skills:

Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended period.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 30 pounds)
Qualifications:
To be successful in the position of food and beverage manager, the following experience, knowledge, skills, and training, or their equivalents, are required:
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Ability to work well under pressure and think on your feet
· Ability to communicate professionally and courteously verbally and in writing
· Ability to put concerned members and co-workers at ease
· Ability to problem solve on the spot and take ownership for problem resolution
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all dealings

· Arrive well-groomed and on-time and dressed in the appropriate attire
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
