What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Coordinator position at Merit Health River Oaks?
Coordinates insurance verification on all admissions to the facility ensuring coverage meets the standards of admission as stated in hospital policy. Relays new and/or revised contractual obligations pertaining to NWMC to existing staff in a consistent and professional method. High School diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of applicable HCFA and other regulatory requirements, including third party payer procedures and practices required. Working knowledge of medical terminology, good human relations, and analytical skills necessary. Must possess ability to use computerized Admitting/Billing system. Two years of registration experience with hospital billing and insurance verification preferred.
