Mesa is seeking an experienced (8 to 14 years) BSEE or BSME for a position in Power Substation Design to serve as Owner's Engineer. The successful candidate shall have extensive experience in the field of Power Substation Engineering Design within the US Power industry. A BSEE or BSME from an ABET accredited University is required. The successful candidate will work from home (in-office is available if local to a Mesa office). The successful candidate will provide engineering representation for Mesa's valued Customer to ensure power substation designs are compatible with all applicable standards and requirements to allow for successful construction of Power Substations ranging in voltage levels from 34.5K to 500kV. As an Owner's Engineer, this individual will be expected to be skilled in all aspects of Power Substation Design and able to provide engineering guidance and evaluation for design projects from concept through energization of constructible design. This exciting opportunity will include collaboration with project managers as technical SME as well as interface and coordination activities with the various design disciplines (P&C, Civil/Structural, Physical, etc.). Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation and/or Autodesk Inventor will be considered a plus. Proficiency in verbal and written communication is required. Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer would be considered a plus.
Education/Experience:
- A BSEE or BSME from an ABET accredited University (required)
- 8 - 14 years of experience working in the power utility industry
