Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Specialist to join our team, focusing on onboarding, offer letters, and background checks . In this role, you will ensure a smooth and positive hiring experience for new employees, manage pre-employment screening processes, and maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

Onboarding :

  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
  • Prepare and distribute new hire packets , including employment forms, company policies, and benefits information.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions to introduce company culture, expectations, and resources.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees, addressing any questions or concerns during the onboarding process.

Offer Letters & Pre-Employment Documentation :

  • Draft, review, and distribute offer letters and employment agreements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with compensation, benefits, and company policies in offer letters.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and ensure timely completion of all pre-employment paperwork.
  • Background Checks & Compliance :

  • Initiate and track background checks, drug screenings, and employment verifications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Work with third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate completion of background screenings.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring fair hiring practices.
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies in background check results and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of HR experience , preferably in onboarding, background checks, or talent acquisition.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and onboarding software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance regulations, and background screening best practices .
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information .
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset .
