The Re-entry NCRC Specialist provides administrative support for all program initiatives. This position is responsible for working with the 180 RAP team, other College staff and Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) to provide re-entry students with expanded access to education, training, national certifications and transition resources. This position provides direct support to expand assessments for the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) in Nebraska correctional facilities. This position will collect, input and track program data and assist with reporting participant and program outcomes.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides administrative support for all program initiatives.
2. Works with the Re-entry Director and Program Manager, College staff, corrections and re-entry stakeholders to connect re-entry students to education, training and viable credentials.
3. Receives, documents and monitors referrals for assessments and services from NDCS, Career Readiness Instructors and/or Education team.
4. Travels to Nebraska prisons statewide to screens students to determine skill improvement and training needs.
5. Administers the NCRC assessments to incarcerated students in Nebraska prisons statewide.
6. Tracks and monitors NCRC assessments, acquisitions and other outcomes.
7. Collaborates with NDCS to issue NCRC credentialing.
8. Assists with employment referrals and ongoing workforce support, as needed.
9. Collects program data and prepares and shares monthly NCRC reports.
10. Provides general support of day-to-day activities to advance NCRC initiatives inside NDCS facilities.
11. Participates in various events including, but not limited to: departmental meetings, community and re-entry meetings and student appreciation and re-entry events.
12. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices.
2. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
5. Skilled in human relations and diplomacy.
6. Proficient in data management and reporting.
7. Ability to communicate, effectively work and interact with a diverse population, various cultures and ethnicities.
8. Ability to maintain accurate records and pay close attention to detail.
9. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
10. Ability to travel to Nebraska correctional facilities.

Associate’s degree with three (3) years of full-time work-related experience including high attention to detail, planning and/or program management and scheduling.
Ability to enter a Nebraska Department of Correctional Services facility.
Ability to proctor the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
