Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in one of our Miami Beach Hotel Group restaurants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the dining experience. This role is crucial in setting the tone for exceptional customer service and guest relations.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with seating options.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.

Skills

• Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
• Ability to manage guest relations positively, ensuring all guests feel valued and welcomed.
• Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficient phone etiquette to handle inquiries and reservations efficiently.
• A proactive attitude towards helping guests and resolving any issues that may arise during their visit.
