Mid Columbia Bus Company is looking for a dedicated and energetic leader to help us grow our organization! We are hiring for a Regional Recruiter who is passionate about offering employment opportunities and retaining the best employees. Your role will focus on three target areas: Recruiting, Hiring, and Retention. This involves guaranteeing adequate staffing for our daily operations, implementing creative solutions to attract applicants, managing a healthy recruiting pipeline for each location, and retaining the people you’ve worked so hard to hire. A strong regional recruiter is outgoing, dedicated, personable, and actively seeking problems to solve.
Responsibilities for Regional Recruiter
- Demonstrating advanced knowledge within recruitment and viewed as a trusted advisor amongst your region.
- Post and manage all open positions.
- Assist with all facets of the recruitment process – Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention.
- Lead weekly/bi-weekly calls w/ recruiters and location managers to generate new ideas to help one another in the recruiting process.
- Creatively sourcing qualified candidates through a wide variety of channels (social media, direct sourcing, internet, employee referrals, community, job fairs, and more!)
- Participating in regional meetings.
- Ability to use personal vehicle for recruiting efforts. Reimbursement from company is provided with the guidance of the federal milage rate set by the I.R.S.
- Exhibit strong knowledge and maintenance of applicant tracking system
- Ensure that there are daily boots-on-the-ground grassroots recruiting efforts with all locations within the region. Coordinating on-site and remove recruiting activities is essential to success in this role.
- Builds and maintains talent pipelines and candidate pools to meet current and future staffing needs through innovative strategies that support the growth plans of the business.
- Mentor local recruiters to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results. Delegate tasks to challenge and develop their skills.
- Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with RVP and RDO to present your successes, acknowledge your areas of opportunity, and develop a plan to improve upon them.
- Provide a debrief via email of the recruiting efforts to location managers – Show your support.
- Network through contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees to maintain a healthy funnel and recruiting pipeline.
- Retain employees through building relationships, providing support, and showing them that they’re valued.
- Other duties as assigned by RVP or RDO.
Qualifications for Regional Recruiter
- 3 years of management experience with extensive knowledge of recruiting, hiring, and retention practices.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Creative problem solving – Every day brings a new challenge!
- Exemplary coaching abilities – You will be a leader of leaders for each location.
- Impeccably organized; able to budget time, tasks, and ask for help when needed - Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to perform.
- Ability to work remotely/independently – Taking direction from leadership and blazing your trail to success!
- Strong computer skills, with familiarity of recruiting software and document creation – You will be tasks to create marketing, job descriptions, and source additional solutions. Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe are all used daily.
- Able to travel with reliable transportation – Travel is an important part of the job!
- Ability to work minimum of 40 hours per week and attend events when available, this can include evenings and weekends.
