Job description
Fast growing manufacturing company is searching for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician who can Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems. Some building maintenance will be required as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Observes and discusses machine operation with supervisors, operators, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and performs other preventive maintenance duties.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and/or pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment where applicable.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, and fixtures, and tools.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
ISO
- Assist in Development of any ISO related policies/procedures for your function
- Adhere to Company ISO policies/procedures
- Other projects and duties as may be assigned

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or Vocational Education required. Minimum 3 years' experience in Maintenance field In Manufacturing Setting.
PLC Experience
Electrical Experience 240 and 480v
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Excel and Word and affiliated software packages. Individual must possess the capability to function within the Epicor database application on a daily basis.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Individual must possess the interpersonal skills communicate with coworkers. Have the ability to understand and apply Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
Physical Demands/Work Environment: The ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which could include sitting or standing for the majority of the day. Responsibilities include the need to lift, carry, push, and pull material on a frequent basis. Must be capable of lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds infrequently.
