Millennium Bank is looking for a full time Loan Operations & Documentation Specialist. The Loan Operations & Documentation Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties pertaining to the processing and booking of loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer, commercial and real estate loans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Detail oriented with the ability to accurately process Commercial and Consumer loans including Real Estate and Non-Real Estate from application through funding. This includes new loans, modifications, extensions and renewals.
- Prepares, generates and delivers accurate initial mortgage loan disclosures that adhere to TRID guidelines.
- Determines if re-disclosures are required and ensure compliance guidelines are met.
- Prepares, generates and delivers accurate closing disclosures on TRID loans.
- Obtain corporate documents to ensure authorized signers and beneficial ownership for commercial loans.
- Facilitates the timely ordering of required documents (title work, compliance documents, flood documents, appraisals) and any other documents necessary to prepare the loan documents.
- Communicates effectively with title companies to ensure smooth loan process.
- Ability to review title work to ensure lien perfection and assist in working through title issues.
- Ability to review loan approval and understand loan terms, covenants and overall loan structure.
- Performs UCC filings, continuations and terminations and ensure perfection of liens on collateral.
- Ability to follow guidelines and checklists to ensure all needed items or documents are obtained for different types of consumer and commercial loans.
- Maintains current knowledge and understanding of all new and updated RESPA and TILA guidelines.
- Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is completed and accurate and complies with Bank’s policy and procedures.
- Posts payments, pay-offs/disbursements as needed on all loan types.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures as well as state and federal banking regulations.
- Performs Loan Maintenance Requests: Responds to e-mails, written and phone requests from loan staff concerning the loan accounts of bank customers. Research the requests in a timely and accurate manner. Suggest or enact correction measures to correct issues.
- Monitors the clearing of all post-closing documents to ensure accuracy (i.e., recorded deeds of trust, titles, and final title opinions/policies, etc.).
- Tracks flood and hazard insurance.
- Completes timely and accurate processing of all loan extensions. Ensures proper authorization to approve the extension.
- Facilitate open communication with the lending staff throughout the entire loan process.
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple loan files daily.
- Works with the Loan Operations Manager on workflow to proactively assure timely completion of the loan file.
- Promotes leadership skill examples to branch employees; i.e. professional dress, customer service skills, positive attitude, etc.
- Able to adapt to change in the work environment and manage competing demands.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment and demonstrate the initiative to assume additional responsibility.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 5 years Loan Operations or Processing experience preferred
- Experience in Loan Documentation Software a plus
