What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concession Stand Attendant position at Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (Temp)?
Role Summary:
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual with an outgoing personality, hard work ethic, a clean/neat and professional appearance, and can provide excellent customer service. Responsible to provide a safe, well-maintained and comfortable environment for staff and to the public. This individual will be a representation of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Greets customers and provide excellent high-quality customer service.
- Food and beverage service including preparation, rotation and stocking.
- Taking, assembling, and presenting food orders.
- Must adhere to Food Safety and Minnesota Dept. of Health regulations, policies, and code compliance.
- Operate cash register and request and receive payments from customers.
- Follow cash handling policies and procedures.
- Keeps supervisor and other appropriate staff informed of problems or other matters.
- Ability to operate concession stand in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
- Extensive daily cleaning including the counter, kitchen, and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be 16 years or older
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to provide customer service that meets/exceeds customer expectation and satisfaction.
- With training, ability to operate concessions equipment such as popcorn popper, hotdog machine, coffee machine, etc.
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and computers.
- Ability to solve problems according to established policy and procedure.
- Team player with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and situations.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural groups.
Background investigation: We conduct a background check. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, the applicant will be asked to sign an informed consent allowing the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board to obtain their criminal history in connection with the positions sought. Compensation: $15.57 per hour
Hours: 10-15
