NDT Assistant – Kenai, AK

Position Summary

Mistras Alaska is searching for Non-Destructive Testing Assistants. The NDT Trainee is an entry level position and will assist NDT level II and III’s. This position is located on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska and must permanently live locally in the area near Kenai, AK.

Minimum Requirements

• 40-hour Radiation Safety Training
• All required training hours for all NDT methods (UT, RT, PT, MT, VT) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A is preferred but not required.
• Current IRRSP or state card is preferred but not required.
• Current level I or higher Rope Access certification IRATA or willingness to obtain.
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license.
  
  
  

Essential Physical Functions

• Must be able to routinely lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods of time.
• Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.
