The Opportunity:
Work for a period of up to four months during a busy time of the year! Participate in various tax and accounting assignments under the guidance and supervision of firm personnel. Be exposed to tax procedures including tax return preparation which will involve tax research, tax planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers on various tax returns and projects. Develop a basic understanding of public accounting and be a part of the MMB team!
A Closer Look At The Role:
- Prepares individual 1040 Returns, 990 Checklists, and 1041 Estates and Trusts
- Assists in contacting clients for additional information
- Assists with other administrative work, including updating and organizing CCH Axcess client information
- Conducts tax research (Employee Retention Credit and Difference between Tax and Book)
- Prepares QuickBooks journal entries

Qualifications
- Working towards the completion of a bachelor or master’s degree in accounting or a related discipline
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Interest in pursuing CPA certification desired, but not a requirement
