Mobile Lumber is growing! We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Manager to join our team at our Tillman’s Corner location in Mobile! We are looking for an individual that brings building materials (or related field) experience, positive energy and leadership skills, logistics and dispatch experience and a customer service driven agenda.
The Shipping and Receiving manager will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve operational practices/customer service/company policy
- Perform physical inventory and warehouse duties
- Assist customers, colleagues and vendors with shipping and receiving inquires
- Be able to perform other administrative duties as assigned
- Motivate Personnel as needed to provide great customer service
- Manage and build team morale through training and guidance/motivation
- Allocate resources and materials to meet company and customer deadlines
- Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams
- Dispatch and schedule delivery/fleet; following DOT/OSHA safety guidelines
- Inventory management/receiving/BisTrack software data and receiving functions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations or other related fields
- Dispatch/fleet management
- Strong project management skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Excellent telephone communications skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-pace environment
- Must have knowledge and experience in the lumber industry
