About the Role
Are you an experienced Managing Attorney with a passion for family law? We are looking for motivated professionals to join our team. As a key member of our family law practice, you will handle diverse cases and make a meaningful impact on our clients’ lives. You will excel in our fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where your attention to detail and outstanding communication skills will be highly valued. We emphasize teamwork, and your ability to collaborate effectively will be crucial to our collective success. This is a primarily Work-from-home position, but you will be required to make all of your in-court appearances and client meetings in the office when requested.
Total Compensation starting at $287,650.00
Responsibilities
- Drive: Manage day-to-day operations, productivity, and profitability of the San Jose office, including work product and billable hours goals.
- Mentor: Encourage team development through education, motivation, and one-on-one counseling. Lead your team in a professional and positive manner.
- Partnership: Partner with Talent Acquisition on the recruitment of Attorneys and assist in the recruitment and hiring of Paralegals. Partner with HR to ensure compliance with Firm policies and procedures. Meet as needed with other Managing Attorneys and department leaders to ensure the local team is receiving the support they need from their respective departments.
- Legal Expertise: Perform initial client consultations and retain new clients, advise clients concerning family law matters, prepare and present cases to judicial officers, represent clients in court and other case-related proceedings, prepare and draft legal documents, negotiate settlements, confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issues to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
Qualifications
Educated: JD and be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar. Experienced: 7 years of experience practicing law; experience with family law and leading a team required.
