Delivery Driver/Warehouse

Position Title: Delivery Tech
Reports To: Store Manager
Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
Delivery Drivers must deliver and set up products in homes for customers, pick up and refurbish customer products. This position also assists with sales, merchandising and store maintenance activities. Applicants must be a minimum of 20 years old with a valid driver's license and a willingness to assist customers. You will also need to be able to adequately lift and handle heavy merchandise and for meeting company objectives, maintaining company quality standards and adhering to company policies.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Follows direction of Store Manager to deliver and set up merchandise in customer homes.

2. Follows direction of Store Manager to pick up merchandise from customers, vendors, and other stores as necessary.

3. Follows direction of Store Manager to assemble, disassemble, clean and/or refurbish merchandise as necessary.

4. Assists store personnel with merchandising and store maintenance activities.

5. All other duties deemed necessary.

Requirements for Delivery Tech

1. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in person and over telephone; must communicate with employees and customers.

2. Must be able to drive during day, night and meet all safety requirements; must have proficient navigational skills, satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements

3. Must be able to manage customer accounts, ensuring company standards for renewals, delinquencies and store collections are satisfied

4. Must be able to read daily work schedules, delivery schedules, assign tasks, enforce Company policy; must be able to fill out paperwork for submission to home office

5. Must be able to manage and account for company assets, including cash and inventory, in

accordance with company policies and standards

8. Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates

9. Must be able to drive during day, night and meet all safety requirements; must have proficient navigational skills, satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements

B. Education and Experience

1. Two years experience in rent-to-own, retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales and merchandising

C. Skills and Abilities

The Assistant Store Manager should be able to:

1. Plan, organize, delegate, coordinate and follow up various tasks and assignments

2. Effectively comprehend and communicate written and oral instructions in English

3. Handle multiple priorities simultaneously

4. Hold employees accountable for compliance with company policy

5. Recognize and solve problems

General Physical Requirements

1. Some lifting up to 100 pounds and move 150 lbs. with a dolly or assistance from another person

2. Moving large pieces of furniture and appliances

3. Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as required

4. Regular and consistent attendance; must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends as required, usually in excess of 50 hours per week
