Join a premier healthcare provider at a 523-bed, full-service acute care hospital in Gainesville, FL , and make a meaningful impact as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) . In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in critical care settings, including ICU, CVICU, NICU, and PICU. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts (nights and evenings), offering competitive pay, generous bonuses, and relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Deliver, set up, and maintain routine and non-routine respiratory therapies and equipment (e.g., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators).
✔️ Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) accurately.
✔️ Assess patient responses, side effects, and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care.
✔️ Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, managers, and the public.
✔️ Teach and instruct patients, families, and staff on respiratory care practices.
✔️ Recognize and report signs of abuse or neglect in patients.
✔️ Provide critical care support in ICU, CVICU, NICU, and PICU settings.
Qualifications
Active Florida State Respiratory License Required.
NBRC Certification As RRT Or CRT Required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification Required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications Required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
1 Year of Recent RRT Experience Preferred (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or Critical Care Unit).
Will consider candidates with home care, long-term care, or CRT experience.
