Summary:
This grant-supported position is designed to train mental health professionals for the complex and rewarding role of providing school-based mental health treatment. This position is Responsible for supporting students and advocating for their emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Duties include counseling students, connecting at-risk youth with helpful resources, and conducting home visits to provide additional support. Provide therapeutic mental health counseling services to at-risk students in individual, group, and family settings using evidence-based interventions as appropriate. Excellent training and supervision provided.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Type of degree: Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling (MA or MS), Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology.
Must be new to the field. Graduates of our Higher Education partners (Grand Canyon University and Northern Arizona University) have preference.
Major field of study or degree emphasis: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology
Must be working toward licensure in Arizona as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC or as a licensed psychologist.
