Position Title: Melter

Department: Melt

Reporting Relationship: Department manager/Team leader

Wage Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Melter position is responsible for determining, weighing up and pouring of heats.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Read and follow instructions.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred.
• Must have strong math skills.
• Must have familiarity with PC usage and knowledge of MS Excel.
• Able to multi-task.

Physical Demands:

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to reach and lift objects above the shoulder.
• Must be able to climb a ladder on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to reach, bend at waist, stretch, stoop, kneel or squat to place and retrieve items.
• Walking or standing frequently and for long periods of time.
• This position works mostly indoors.
• Must be able to work in an environment that may be extremely loud at times.
• Must be able to work in an environment that can be extremely hot or cold for long periods of time.
• Must be able to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) as required for the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
