Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Assistant to support our educational team in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
- Support students in their daily activities, ensuring they are engaged and participating.
- Provide individualized attention to students, particularly those requiring special education support or working with autism.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
- Assist with literacy education initiatives by encouraging reading and writing skills among students.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Participate in classroom activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and group discussions.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Special education practices and principles.
- Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies.
- Toddler care or preschool settings.
