Typical day of a Flooring Estimator | Warehouse Associate:
The Flooring Estimator/Warehouse is responsible for both flooring and warehouse duties. This position will require a dual/split role between both areas.

For flooring, this individual will be required to interface with customers to acquire accurate measurements of space(s) and create renderings of area slated for flooring and tile installations. They will also interface with the installers and communicate with the Salesperson, Flooring Manager and Service about any problems that may arise during installation. The ability to prioritize critical issues and ensure all deadlines are met is necessary. This position requires a self-starter that can work independently with meticulous attention to detail. For warehouse, this individual will help receive freight, unload trucks, stock merchandise, prepare orders for delivery and pickup; open, assemble, and inspect furniture in accordance with warehouse procedures and systems. This position will also help place display merchandise under the direction of the merchandising team. Delivery to customers homes is required in this position. Courteous and professional service to our customers is a must in this position.

What would make you a good fit for this role?

• Experience in bid preparation, sales, or related industry experience
• Knowledge of computer warehousing applications preferred
• Knowledge of Floor Covering products (ceramic, stone, carpet, resilient and wood, etc.)
• Ability to read and work with blueprints
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
• Proficient skills in basic math to include addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Experience or ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse machinery preferred
