What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security and Intelligence Officer position at MPI Protective Service?
This position utilizes basic computer, electronic communication, and map reading skills, and also monitors and responds to region-wide emergency alarms in client facilities and performs general clerical tasks and recordkeeping for the client. This position works in a restricted area with limited access. This position requires the ability to walk, sit, stand or operate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; perform repetitive movements of hands or wrists, speak and listen to a variety of individuals by telephone and radio with occasional distractions, distortions, and background noise.
Duties
- Monitor surveillance cameras, surveillance systems, data systems and alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of the client.
- Respond to alarms and incidents promptly, assess situations, and take appropriate action
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Write detailed reports and maintain accurate records of all activities and actions
- Provide excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of joint operations, intelligence targeting, GIS, intelligence, counterintelligence, military intelligence, electronic warfare, data collection, and military operations is a plus
- Strong observation skills with the ability to quickly identify suspicious behavior or potential threats
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer skills for day to day use of systems, report writing and incident documentation
