Social Media Intern Job at Multi Service Fuel Card in Overland Park

Multi Service Fuel Card, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell USA in Overland Park, Kansas, is looking for a Social Media Intern to help manage and grow our social media presence. This is a paid internship and you will work closely with the marketing team to create engaging content, interact with our community, and analyze the performance of our social media campaigns.

We anticipate a 15-20 hour/week internship with a commitment to come to the office 1-2 days / week, but schedule is flexible to accommodate class schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop, design, and schedule engaging content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Community Management: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
• Campaign Support: Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns to promote events, product launches, and other marketing initiatives.
• Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze the performance of social media posts and campaigns using Hootsuite. Providing weekly/monthly reports and insights to the team.
• Research and Trends: Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices. Share insights and suggestions for improving our social media strategy.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team and supporting agency teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals and strategies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their respective audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Prior experience in social media management (academic, personal projects, or previous internships) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, or others is a plus.
• College-level coursework or degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is a plus.
