What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Receiving Associate position at Muscle and Strength?
POSITION SUMMARY
Working as a member of the receiving team, the Receiving Associate is responsible for accepting shipments of merchandise, counting and verifying package contents in relation to PO’s, and relocating and organizing received merchandise into proper locations in the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload and verify incoming shipments of pallets and boxes
- Identify and read vendor packing slips, carrier shipping documents, UPC labels, expiration dates and receiving documents
- Breakdown, sort and process pallets of stock
- Receive all incoming stock via RF or android and move to an appropriate location
- Perform regular cycle counts and stock replenishments
- Enter and update receiving information in the receiving sheet
- Assist in keeping warehouse clean and organized
- Interact appropriately and professionally with a variety of people, including delivery drivers, supervisors, managers, and associates
- Assign and change forward pick locations
- Remove unneeded packing from stock going into pickable locations
- Work within performance requirements
- Complete other warehouse tasks and processes as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
· Forklift experience/recent previous certification preferred
· Must be eighteen years of age or older
· Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
· Ability to work as part of a team and meet performance goals
· Attention to detail and accuracy
·1-2 years previous warehouse experience a plus but not required
· Excellent communication skills
· Knowledge of products not required but appreciated
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Ability to move about inside a warehouse without climate control, standing and walking for up to an entire shift, year-round
· Must be able to constantly position self to access product locations (stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl) and frequently ascend/descend ladders to access high shelving
· Ability to lift and move boxes and merchandise weighing up to 60 pounds
· Ability to operate pallet jack in a safe manner
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
