Job Description
Summer 2024 Internship Program:

- Program Dates: June 3 – August 9, 2024
- Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
- Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from New York, NY 3-5 days per week.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
- Ad Sales Finance: Ad Sales Finance for Hispanic includes Entertainment and Sports. Interns will have exposure to different groups within Ad Sales, Planning, Inventory, Research and Sales. Responsibilities include cash pacing tracking, weekly inventory charts, Ad hoc financial analysis, Program greenlight and postmortems. Exposure to long range planning and budgeting.
- Controllership: Work as part of the Corporate Controllership team, which is centralized in New York and has oversight over the Controllership function globally across NBCUniversal (with main hubs in NY, LA, London, and Amsterdam). This role will assist with the key worldwide monthly & quarterly close process and balance sheet account reconciliation process and learn how this function works across NBCU.
- Corporate Strategy & Development: An intern on this team will have the opportunity to work across multiple businesses within NBCUniversal (Film & Television Studios, Television & Direct-to-Consumer Entertainment, News & Sports, Telemundo, Fandango, Consumer Products, and Parks). This unique position will provide access to high-level strategic decision-making in the ever-evolving world of media & entertainment.
- Treasury: The Treasury Intern will join a team focused on supporting the banking and cash operational needs across NBCUniversal’s global portfolio of businesses. The internship will provide an opportunity to cultivate meaningful relationships, develop professional skills, gain insight to the day-to-day operations of a top media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network. You will gain invaluable knowledge of our industry, be part of our diverse and welcoming culture and receive exposure to other areas of the business.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
Desired Characteristics:
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proficient in excel skills (including v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and a team-player.
- Acute attention to detail.
The hourly rate for student interns is $25.00
