We are seeking Tower Tech Leads to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong telecommunications background, a commitment to safety, a keen eye for detail, pride in workmanship and an excellent ability to work in a team environment. As a Tower Technician Lead, you will assist the foreman in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications sites and related equipment, ensuring projects are completed on time, and to the highest standards.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to interpret and build to project documentation

- Daily JHA paperwork
- Site specific rigging plans
- Equipment inspection forms
- Competent in safe climbing and industry rigging operations
- Can safely climb required structures with industry approved safety equipment
- Monitors and aids in Tech I/Apprentice safe climbing and positioning
- Perform safe rigging operations utilizing industry best practices and standards
- Follows on-site rigging plans and communicates deviations from rigging plans
- Observes and reports site/tower hazards and structure concerns
- Competent in rigging/signaling best practices and components
- capstan hoist operations and setup
- signaling and communicating hoisting/lower operations
- Ability to adapt and form solutions in complicated rigging scenarios
- Utilizes industry standards, best practices, and tower owner requirements to create compliant rigging systems.
- Competent in RF and steel installation/modification
- Competent in carrier requirements
- Experience in various structure upgrades and their associated components
- Experienced RF background across multiple carriers and their components
- Installs RF/steel to project docs and industry standards with a high level of quality
- Works with foreman to install RF/steel to project documents
- Aids in problem solving tower top discrepancies
- Trains Tech I/apprentices on RF and steel install best practices.
- Experienced in mount modification
- Experience in RF testing and proficient in closeout requirements
- Experience in or aiding the Foreman with sweep, PIM, fiber testing, setting RET’s, and operating azimuth tools (preferred, not required)
- Competent in obtaining tower top RF closeout required photos and azimuths
- Competent in obtaining tower owner required photos.
- Additional Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ability to perform truck and trailer maneuvers
- Ensure truck is prepared for daily tasks
- Aid in site cleanliness and organization
- Aid in problem solving
- Demonstrate good time management skills and adhere to site deadlines
- Supports company safety program and structure
- 2 years industry experience preferred not required
- Willing to work 40 hours per week
- Willing to be flexible with possible weekend work or outages
- Overnight travel when required
- Dependable
- Ability to work in unfavorable weather conditions

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
